Master Builders Association of Pierce County held its annual President’s Gala and Member Recognition Awards on Thursday, December 12th, 2019\u00a0at Historic 1625\u00a0Tacoma Place. This is a special event for Master Builders Association of Pierce County. Not only does the event celebrate the installation of 2020\u00a0board members and leadership, it also recognizes outstanding members. The President\u2019s Gala is a night where we can say thank you and farewell to the outgoing MBA President, and welcome the incoming MBA President for the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the event this year we welcomed last year\u2019s Master Builders Association of Pierce County scholarship winners<\/a> to share their goals and experiences.\u00a0Scholarship winner Kenny Brooks couldn\u2019t attend the gala in person due to final exams, but shared his experience and\u00a0success in Construction Management at University of Washington. We enjoyed hearing how the Master Builders Association of Pierce County is able to support these young adults in their pursuit of education<\/a> and a successful future in the building industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The evening\u2019s \u201cDessert Dash\u201d sponsored by AAA KARTAK Glass & Closet Corp. and Parker, Smith & Feek is a way for the association to raise funds for the Master Builders Association of Pierce County scholarship program<\/a>. This year the association raised nearly $20,000 to go toward the program in 2020. We would like to thank all of our members for their generous contributions and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Master Builders Association of Pierce County wouldn\u2019t be such a successful and valuable community without the participation, involvement, and sponsorship of its incredible members. Additional criteria is also judged specific to each award, in addition to the level of Master Builders Association of Pierce County involvement for each member.
